Are the cities around Washington DC, nice places to live? - dc shorts
I'm at school and work will probably be like moving from Idaho to the East Coast, most likely to feel in or around Washington, DC.
So ask yourself, where are some nice places to live, are just minutes away from Washington? How is it there? The high crime rate? Many poor people?

There are few nice places to live around DC. I prefer Arlington. I would not live anywhere far away, the traffic very bad and you can save money on housing, is the loss of pay for natural gas use in transport. Arlington is a kind of divided into different zones, Crystal City / Pentagon City, Ballston, Rosslyn. I prefer the Crystal City / Pentagon City area. All these areas are served by the metro (subway) for any problem in commuting
For what it's there. There is much to do, so do not worry about that. Winter is not very bad, cold but not cold in comparison with real Idaho. Summer can be a little hot, not too extreme, such as Texas. In general, the weather is terrible. Part of the DC and Maryland areas of violence, most places like Alexandria and Arlington, the offense is not bad. He lived in Arlington, both for 7 years and never had a problem. As for ugly people I do not think most people think are high compared to many other cities formed.
The Maryland suburbs of DC are really nice areas to live, but almost as expensive as living in the city proper. In Montgomery County, MD is very popular and is well connected with the subway system of DC. Bethesda is just 2 stops from DC, has many interesting restaurants and several hiking trails and is very strong. It is also home to the NIH and the Naval Hospital. Rockville is located in the north (roughly) in Bethesda, has more live from a sense of neighborhood, but also in the famous Metro Red Line and a great place to be. I recommend you go to the Washington area.

McLean, VA is a beautiful city, but the people here are very impatient. I prefer my people, Ashburn VA is one hours from DC though. Arlington is nice, Alexandria, Falls Church is amazing, has many places for jobs and there are many things to do.
DC is the poor in the streets and some people are of poor quality. but once its where you are in DC, even in the suburbs and no, not that bad. but if you're in the heart of DC then yes, there are bad things
I live in the DC suburb of Alexandria seems Google Earth literally right next to DC

good place to live, but the price is high
Fredricksburg is also much cheaper

New York is also expensive, such as Alexandria, but not in the analysis of VA, as the other 2

DC is a colonial, if you do not already figure it out ... The city is big, but not many high-rises. like every city there are bad parts of it (not) to interfere. Interstate 95 will completely suck the signs are confusing for people who have not noticed. the police hiding in the HOV lanes too, so do not try to squeeze through a fine great as its. good food (my favorite is American Grill and microphones) ebbit old. There is a "duck", a vehicle that can into the water and earth. Kings Dominion theme park is good, even if it about an hour from DC
For suburbs like Bethesda MD, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Gaithersburg, Derwood, Silver Spring, Potomac, none of which are good. And they are all well connected to the subway and easy access to DC. MD suburbs are also slightly cheaper than the suburbs of Virginia.
I lived on the side of the VA, DC, and I have in Fairfax, Burke, or zone Fairoak are very good schools, low crime, and not many people are poor /
The suburbs are expensive, and many rich people. The city has two zones, the area of policy and in the field of crime is high.
not really, but we all have different opinions
